MigraMemo Privacy Policy
On this page
MigraMemo is a migraine tracking app built on a simple principle: your health data belongs on your phone, not on our servers.
- MigraMemo has no accounts and no backend. We cannot see, sell, or lose your data, because we never receive it.
- Everything you log lives in a database on your device. On iPhone it is included in your normal iCloud device backup. On Android it is deliberately kept out of Google Drive backup so your diary never leaves the phone — it carries over on a direct device-to-device transfer, and Settings → Export data is how you keep your own copy.
- You can export your complete data as a file from Settings → Export data while you're subscribed, or delete it at any time by deleting the app.
Attack logs, symptoms, suspected triggers, pain locations, medications and doses, relief answers, MIDAS answers, notes, your answers to the setup questions, your chosen forecast area, and your settings. None of this is transmitted to us — we have no servers to send it to.
If you enable the cycle overlay, MigraMemo reads menstrual data from Apple Health or Health Connect read-only and displays it in the moment. It is never written to MigraMemo's database, never included in exports, and never leaves your device. Disable the overlay (or revoke the permission) at any time.
Pressure forecasts need a place. MigraMemo stores your chosen area rounded to roughly 11 km — never your precise position — and only on your device. On iPhone, the rounded coordinates are sent to Apple Weather through WeatherKit solely to fetch the barometric forecast. Apple says WeatherKit location information is not associated with personally identifiable information and is never tracked between requests. City names you search for are sent to Apple Maps to find a forecast area; city search works without location permission. Forecasts are cached temporarily on your device and refreshed when stale.
If you dictate a note, the microphone is used only while you dictate, and your words are turned into text by speech recognition on your iPhone. MigraMemo asks for on-device recognition only: where your iPhone cannot do that for your language, dictation is unavailable rather than sent anywhere. No audio is recorded or kept; only the text is saved, in your note. Voice notes are not offered on Android.
Pressure alerts and relief check-ins are scheduled on your device from data already on your device. No push servers are involved. When you answer a check-in from the notification itself, the answer is saved on your device.
The lock-screen attack tracker is off unless you turn it on. On iPhone it shows "Ongoing attack", the start time and a dose count on your lock screen and in the Dynamic Island, where anyone who sees your phone can see them. On Android it is a silent notification whose details stay hidden while your phone is locked. It never shows medication names, severity or notes, and what you tap on it is saved on your device. Turn it off in Settings any time.
- Weather and city-search requests: rounded coordinates to Apple Weather, and city-search text to Apple Maps, as above.
This release does not send crash reports or anonymous usage counts.
MigraMemo Unlimited subscriptions are processed by Apple or Google against your store account. MigraMemo's purchase partner (RevenueCat) receives your purchase and subscription status and when a subscription offer is shown, tied to a random anonymous ID that the app creates on your phone. Its requests also carry basic technical details (device model, OS and app version, language, store country) and, on iPhone, Apple's vendor identifier, an ID that only apps from MigraMemo's developer can read and not the advertising identifier. These are used to run purchases and analyse subscription and offer activity. MigraMemo never asks RevenueCat to collect advertising or attribution identifiers. If you use Settings → Manage subscription and answer its optional cancellation survey, the answer you pick is sent to RevenueCat. We never see your name, email, or payment details, and no health data is ever sent.
MigraMemo is not directed at children under 13.
If this policy changes, the app will show the updated version and date here.
